Creative Process Workshop through the Medium of Batik
About our Creative Process Workshops
The BSG art-focused programs use batik as an educational medium to foster understanding of cultural values and creative processes rooted in Indonesian heritage. Emphasizing learning by doing, the curriculum integrates traditional knowledge with contemporary frameworks to empower participants. Workshops teach the method of harmonizing creative practices with nature, promoting growth and creativity in various artistic mediums. Below, we are providing a PDF that explains the details of our workshop.
Our workshops are still based on the methodology and modules described above and range from 2 to 7 days. However, to gain a minimum understanding of the topics covered, we recommend a minimum of three days. A two-day workshop allows for a focus on learning the technical aspects of batik.
The heritage creative process taught through batik in our workshops isn't solely aimed at participants continuing in the medium of batik, although the introduction to basic techniques enables this possibility. More importantly, it aims to unlock creative channels for participants to use across various creative mediums.
To discuss your learning objectives and book a workshop, please contact us through our Contact Us page or email us at info@babaransegaragunung.org. Our flexible methodology and modules can be tailored to accommodate your learning goals. We welcome inquiries regarding timing and pricing.
